HOW TO DISCOVER OUR TERROIR?
Simply by letting yourself be guided by its tourist accommodation, its restaurants, its suppliers of tourist activities but also by its range of regional products.
Our exceptional location, between Cévennes and Camargue, offers us a magnificent landscape between hills, vineyards and cereal crops.
We will take you 25 minutes from the Mas de Roux in the neighboring department of Hérault.
Located in the immediate vicinity of the famous Pic Saint-Loup, in Saint-Mathieu de Tréviers, the Clos des Augustins has been a family property for several generations.
The vineyard, of about 35 hectares, is located on the communes of Saint-Mathieu de Tréviers, Triadou, Fontanès, Saint-Jean de Cuculles and Sainte-Croix de Quintillargues.
Thanks to meticulous work, in organic agriculture and following the biodynamics, small yields and manual harvesting with optical sorting and collection in crates, the grapes are harvested at perfect maturity under the best conditions.
The wine is made in thermo-regulated vats, followed closely by Frédéric and his oenologist to finally end up maturing the best French coopers in barrels.
Since our arrival at the Mas de Roux, we have been working as Local as possible (and continue our research to find new partners) and as for the wine part, the choice is very important.
Knowing the Mézy family and its excellent products, for more than 10 years, it seemed logical and normal to be able to offer them in addition to the Cuvées of our neighbour winemaker at the Château de Roux.
The Appellations produced by the Clos des Augustins are essentially the AOC Pic Saint-Loup and the Vin de Pays du Val de Montferrand.
Since 2020, we have set up a local grocery store with the possibility of ordering online. Possibility of withdrawal to the Mas or delivery according to conditions.
Whether you are staying at the Mas de Roux or not, we will be happy to welcome you and make you discover these excellent products at a very good quality/ price ratio. The advantage of being close to each of them, allows us to offer you their rates or very close.
When you request group meals, our proposals will always include the wines of the Château de Roux and/or those of the Clos des Augustins.
For your pleasure, you will be able to benefit from the cellar rate which will allow you to leave, if you wish, with beautiful local cuvées while preserving your purchasing power.
